We are a volunteer-led initiative dedicated to protecting our homes and landscape through education, preparedness, and collective action. We are working toward official Firewise USA® community status through the National Fire Protection Agency program.
Our three-year Action Plan focuses on four key areas:

Potential discounts from participating insurance providers who recognize our community's commitment to fire safety
Access to funding for fire mitigation projects and community safety improvements
Building connections between neighbors and fostering a culture of mutual support and preparedness

Firewise USA® recognition requires communities to complete a 5-step process:

Develop community-specific strategies based on resident input (this is why your survey responses are so important!).
Annual community event or day of service focused on wildfire education and risk reduction.
Document homeowners' collective annual investment in wildfire risk reduction activities. See link below to log your investment.
Once certified, we maintain recognition annually by continuing these activities and reporting our progress.
